From the Classroom to the Boardroom
Bauer MBA Society is designed for graduate-level business students at the University of Houston, C.T. Bauer College of Business. Initially named the International MBA Society, the organization was founded by two MBA students, Colin Coffey (from Great Britain) and Alanna McQuibban (from Canada), in November 1994. With the support and guidance of their graduate advisor, Marian Newman, they created the organization to provide a network of support for international students.
Over the years, Bauer MBA Society has evolved to provide assistance to all graduate students at Bauer and has transformed into a diverse global organization. Like our city and college, Bauer MBA Society also embraces a culture of diversity and inclusion. Currently our members and alumni represent more than 50 countries around the globe and come from a myriad of professions from all major industries.
We aspire to maintain our global focus, cultivate an environment of camaraderie among the students and help them achieve their professional goals.
