Running for President
Name: Akinola Akinlawon
Program: MS MIS
Background: BSc. Computer Science (Cameron University), Msc (in view) Management of Information Systems (University of Houston). Over a decade experience in information technology services including Networking, Systems Administration and Cloud Infrastructure. I have also been president of several student organizations while in undergrad as well as current president of the consulting club arm of BMBAS.
Why run?
I am always interested in providing cutting edge IT solutions to enhance productivity of various activity processes for whatever organization I am a part of. I believe in less stressing and more doing and I love to always be a part of the progress of that concept. My specific interest in being president is to work more intimately with established alliances within and outside the university to contribute to a more robust experiential learning environment for members.
Running for Executive VP
Name: Ifraz Ahmed
Program: MS Business Analytics
Background: I am currently Vice President of the Consulting and Technology club at BMBAS. Me, AK (President of our club), and the other officers are always collaborating on ideas for events, assigning administrative tasks, and discussing logistics and funding for upcoming events. I have a background in various programming languages and have work experience in a professional collaborative working environment at the Data Warehouse Department at Harris County.
Why run?
I want to provide my leadership to BMBAS to assist growing our clubs as well as providing student members a value proposition they can not refuse.
Running for VP Events/Mentorship
Name: Sreya Hossain
Program: MS MIS
Background: I am a social butterfly who is ambitious and always actively seeking to grow socially, professionally and personally. I graduated in 2014 with BBA in operations and supply chain management and currently pursuing a MS in management in information systems. I have been working in the logistics industry for 10 years with a background of exports, imports, oil and gas, analyst and coordinator. My ultimate goal is to gain experience in leadership, learn to expand my skillset on the technical side and be able to combine my new skillsets and my experience in supply chain.
Why run?
I am interested in the VP of events position due to my experience as a logistics coordinator and a side hobby of being an event planner.
Running for Marketing VP
Name: Raihana Ali-Aggarwal
Program: MBA Full Time
Background: I have a background in marketing communications, in the healthcare industry. I have 6 years of working experience. I have held leadership roles in the past in my sorority during my undergraduate education, as well as served on a board for a non-profit.
Why run?
I would like gain experience in email marketing and make sure that all students are aware about the events that BMBAS is doing.
